Four levels, one steady progression
Each level builds on the one before — from first letter sounds to reading any Arabic book with confidence.

Beginner
Ages 5–7
Phonics — the sounds letters make and how they build into words. Interactive exercises for letter sounds and basic sight words.
Materials: no textbook; worksheets provided by teachers from time to time.

Intermediate
Ages 8–10
Reading skills and fluency — moving from sounding out words to reading smoothly.
Materials: Qaida Noorania — a structured method for correct Arabic recitation and reading of Classical Arabic.

Advanced
Placement by ability
Comprehension and reading speed, with exposure to a range of literary genres — including everyday conversational Arabic.
Materials: class notes and materials provided by teachers.

Reads any Arabic book fluently, and can understand and hold a basic conversation.

A Sunday at the school
How the morning runs
- Classes run every Sunday during the NSW academic term.
- Each class runs 2.5 hours continuously, with a 10-minute break.
- Sessions fall between 8:30am and 12:30pm.
- Your exact class time is confirmed after enrolment.
- Prompt pickup at the end of class is essential — staff move straight to the next session.

Working together
A partnership between home and school
Your child learns best when home and school pull the same way. Here’s how we can do that together.
- Drop your child off and collect them on time — our staff move directly into the next session.
- Read our emails and WhatsApp messages, and act on what we send.
- Send your child with pencils, a sharpener and an eraser.
- Pack a snack — we don’t provide food, though teachers do sometimes hand out a chocolate or two.
- Expect a 5–10 minute break between classes.
- If your child is given a book, check for it at every drop-off and pick-up.
- If a concern about behaviour comes up, we may ask to have a quick word with you.

Before you enrol

Not at all. Our Beginner level starts from the very beginning — the sounds each letter makes and how they build into words. Plenty of our children arrive with no Arabic at all, and that’s exactly who Beginner is for.
Placement goes by what your child can do, not their age. A nine-year-old who is new to reading Arabic would usually begin at Beginner, and we confirm the right fit once you’ve enrolled — no child is left in a class that moves too fast or too slow for them.
No. Classes follow the four NSW school terms, so we don’t run during the school holidays — the next term picks up when NSW schools go back.
We’re still confirming our current position on sibling discounts. Please ask us when you enrol and we’ll give you a clear answer.
If you need to skip a term, talk to us and we’ll let you know how coming back and re-enrolling works. We’re finalising the details of this.
We’re confirming our policy on parents sitting in on classes. Please check with us when you enrol.
Just let the class teacher know at drop-off, so they know to expect you and can have your child ready to go. It helps to mention it early, since staff move straight into the next session at the end of class.
