A masjid at the heart of our community

Established in 2009, Quakers Hill Masjid serves Muslims in Quakers Hill and neighbouring suburbs in the Blacktown area of Western Sydney. It is a place to come together for salat, seek knowledge and strengthen community connections.

The five daily prayers and Friday Jumu’ah are held in congregation. Beyond prayer, the masjid offers regular Quran classes, Islamic lectures and activities that bring the community together throughout the year.

QHM is operated by Al-Barakah Welfare Trust Australia (ABN 71 184 317 005).

Our story

Since opening in 2009, Quakers Hill Masjid has become a focal point for the local Muslim community. Its children’s Quran classes are a popular part of community life, alongside regular Islamic lectures on Friday evenings.

The masjid has hosted Eid prayers every year since its establishment. During Ramadan, the community gathers for Taraweeh with a complete recitation of the Quran and for Iftaar programs.

A branch of My Masjid Library supports children’s reading and learning, while an on-site clothing donation bin offers another way to help others.

Beyond the five daily prayers, the masjid runs a regular program of classes, lectures and community services throughout the year.

What drives the masjid

Quakers Hill Masjid is a project of Al-Barakah Welfare Trust Australia. The Trust’s mission is to please Allah by promoting Islamic activities for the benefit of its adherents and humanity in general, in light of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The Trust promotes knowledge and understanding of Islam and builds positive relationships with people of all faiths.

Governance. Al-Barakah Welfare Trust Australia is managed by a board of Trustees and governed by the Deed of Trust. Trustees are elected from the members every alternate year.

Members shape the future of the masjid — they elect the Trustees who govern it. Membership of the Trust is open to those who meet a few simple criteria.

  • Muslim
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Of good character
