Join & borrowing policy

Join the library

Read the membership and borrowing policy below, then apply to join. Select any section to open it.

You must be a registered library member to borrow. Membership is open to the community — see Membership types below for the categories and who each one covers.

There are three ways to be a member:

  • Members of Al-Barakah Welfare Trust (ABWT) are library members automatically.
  • Individual membership — for anyone aged 8 and over.
  • Family membership — for family members living at the same address.

To join, complete the membership application form, present identification, and you’ll be issued a membership number to borrow with.

Once you’re a member:

  • Borrow up to 2 items at a time.
  • Quote your membership number when you borrow.
  • Take care of what you borrow, and return it.
  • Lost or damaged items must be paid for at their replacement cost.

The termination-of-membership terms will be shown here, transcribed from the policy.

For library enquiries, email library@quakershillmasjid.org.
